CHAI HO JOI-- HAVE A CUP OF NICE TEA

  Having a cup of tea is always a pleasure. One can add on to the pleasure by support system that enhances the delight. Sitting in the balcony, having a teapoy on the right side to rest the teacup and plate of biscuits, another teapoy to rest the stretched legs, a mild music adds to the joy. Biscuits truly enhance the experience of savouring tea. People choose to dip the biscuit mildly in the tea and bite before sipping tea which is not my cup of tea as it soils the biscuit and separates the particles as also pollutes tea. Biscuits come in variety. Some have inbuilt nuts, fruits and jam thickly mingled with the base element.  Such biscuits must be bitten in small piece and stored in the corner over the gums. The tea when sipped and sent inside there is a wonderful coalition of saliva, biscuit bits, and the tea. As the tea travels to the throat through the tongue that is the real charm of tasting the tea. More bites, more sips and more pleasure are the process.  ...

PREDECESSOR Vs SUCCESSOR -- THE UNSEEN BATTLE NEEDS TO BE STOPPED

  When you vacate a house, you hand over the keys to the owner and walk off with no hangover. But when you vacate a post, you just do the opposite. Same is true when you enter a new house and position. The usual expressions are    I left behind a clean and up to date office.    I inherited a messy office.    THE TOP IS PERSPECTIVE OF PREDECESSOR AND BELOW THAT OF SUCCESSOR Life in the corporate and business world is hugely trapped many times between these two contentious statements. What is unfortunate is in both cases there will be facts that are right, but the perspective is diagonally opposite.  What is conveniently forgotten is if you are right the other need not be wrong. At times matters are complicated by people who support the successor or predecessor and add up fuel.
